In 2005, Disneyland celebrated its 50th Anniversary, and there were commemorative Disney Dollars released in conjunction with this momentous occasion.
Let’s start with the 5 dollar denomination, featuring Donald Duck.
Along with Donald on the front is the “Happiest Celebration on Earth” castle logo.
The back has Tinker Bell bracketing a
1955-2005 banner, which itself brackets a beautiful illustration of
Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Disneyland Resort: The Happiest Place on Earth. Another $5 released, which I sadly don’t have, is one featuring Goofy.
Next up we have the $10, with Minnie Mouse.
Same back as the $5.
There is also a $10 with Stitch, which I, unforgivably, don’t have.
Wait. Where’s the One Dollar Disney
Dollar, presumably with Mickey Mouse? Well, believe it or not, Mickey
was not on the $1 Bill. Mickey was on a $50! No, I don’t have one!
