Early Mickey Mouse Art

In my humble opinion, two of the most fascinating artifacts from the Walt Disney Family Museum are the early examples of Mickey Mouse art from 1928. The first being the earliest known drawing of Mickey.
This is the beginning. The Big Bang!

The other is this drawing by Les Clark from 1929, representing the earliest known Mickey Mouse advertising art!

Happy 86th Birthday to everyone's favorite mouse!

  1. I recently purchased a very early (circa 1928-29 brass on wood) printers block that shows what I believe to be Mickey Mouse sitting on top of a clock face and advertising for Cheer Up Soda Pop. Did Walt Disney ever use Mickey for advertising in his very early years?
