Yesterday we checked out of what is now my favorite DVC Resort, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian.
Our room, 1204, which is on the 2nd floor, overlooked the Seven Seas Lagoon towards the Polynesian resort, and Ticket and Transportation Center.
Late afternoon.
Sunrise.
The section of the Villas where our room was located in the building to the right,
seen from a boat.
Me, waving from our balcony.
I posted the photo below of the ferry as seen from our bed on Facebook, and our friend Matthew suggested I tape an hours worth of the calming scene, so that people could share in the relaxing view.
This isn't quite an hour, in fact, it's about 8 minutes, but I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Nice post! I enjoyed the video in particular, but upon opening it up to full screen wanted to see if I could view a higher resolution (as is sometimes an option with youtube) did not see any options for higher resolution, so I then tried to "click through" to your youtube page to see if perhaps I could access different options from there, a single click pauses or starts the video for me and a double click takes it to or from full screen, would you post a link to your you tube account so I can check it out from there? Very cool seeing the homer DAK boat going from the Polynesian at one point you got several types of craft in this video and i even enjoyed seeing the pedestrians in the foreground, that too added to the scene.
ReplyDeleteThanks bigbrian. Blogger only allows medium size files to be uploaded, and those, under 9 minutes from what I can figure. I don't have a youtube channel of my own, but will now look at that as an alternative to these smaller/shorter videos.
DeleteLovely, lovely, lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you both got a break from winter in 'our' happy place.
