Do You Remember: When Tusker House Was a Counter Service Restaurant?

By Nick

Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom is an awesome buffet, but do you remember when it was an equally awesome counter service restaurant?

In fact, this was where Barbie could find her favorite lunch item, the vegetable pita sandwich. They also had a delicious half chicken meal.

If you've eaten at both, which do you prefer?

  1. I don't remember when it was counter service but I do remember the previous version of it as a buffet - pre-character meals.

    1. We mss it, but we will check out the character meal at some point, I'm sure.

    2. If you go for the character buffet, don't go for breakfast, it was all pretty boring food.

  2. On my first ever WDW trip in August 2010 it was a counter service. We liked it. I haven't been to the buffet since it switched over though.
