A Bit of Magic in the Magic Kingdom

By: Gaylin

In the hub area in front of Cinderella's castle are flower beds, benches and these lovely statues. First up is Donald Duck, looking very dapper and ready to present you with something.

Next we have Pinocchio, I didn't look closely at the time but there is a wee Jiminy sitting on his foot!

Dumbo and his wonderful ears. Who is that mouse? That's right, I am asking because I can't remember his name.

Pluto looks ready to go out and play fetch.

Chip and Dale, dancing?

Goofy, taking a moment to ponder what ride he wants to go on next.

Brer Rabbit, ready to run away.

And finally Miss Minnie Mouse herself, so pretty.

I am pretty sure they change the statues at Halloween, if I get there again in October I will be sure to check and take a new set of photos.

  1. The mouse from Dumbo is Timothy Q. Mouse.

    1. Thank you for catching that Melanie. I actually have a few Timothy Mouse collectibles, including a production animation drawing, but never knew his middle initial.

    2. Thanks Melanie! It was the 1960's when I saw Dumbo . . .

  2. Did you know that the Hub in Disneyland has the same statues but with one small change: Br'er Rabbit has been swapped out for the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

Just another bit of Disney trivia for ya! Nice pics, Gaylin!
