Prince Charming's Regal Carousel and Cinderella's Favorite Horse

by: Barbie

Originally called Cinderella’s Golden Carousel the name was changed to the Prince Charming Regal Carousel in 2010.

The Carousel, a familiar sight in Fantasyland as you come through Cinderella Castle, was originally built in 1917 and was originally located at Olympic Park in Maplewood, New Jersey. Cinderella's favorite horse has the golden ribbon wrapped around his tail.  Look for her favorite in the second row.  It's the only horse with a ribbon around his tail.

  1. When I did the backstage tour, we got to watch a bit of the repainting of a carousel horse. If I remember correctly, each horse on the carousel is repainted once a year to keep them in prime condition!

  2. I'm actually surprised it's only once a year, they are constantly painting everything else weekly it seems!
