The
Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival started in 1993.
Throughout
the park you’ll find many topiary displays, themed to a particular
subject, as well as lush gardens. Guests can meet gardening experts and
learn new ideas they can use in their own home gardens.
This button is from 1995.
I was able to attend in 1994 and 1995, and have brochures from both festivals.
This is from 1994.
It’s amazing to see how the festival has grown. The topiarys look rudimentary compared to what you’ll see today.

This years Flower and Garden Festival started March 5th, and runs through May 18th.
I think I was there in Spring of 1996. I wonder if I have the guides to prove it!
ReplyDeletePlease share if you do, Gaylin!
DeleteI promised myself I would spring clean my hall closet - therein lies 2 storage containers of Disney stuff. Guess now I need to get cleaning to find those guides!
ReplyDeleteSpring cleaning Disney stuff sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteLove Epcot in the spring and how awesome that you kept the old maps, always fun to look back. Thanks for sharing with us!

Love that you kept your maps. They make such great souvenirs and show the differences from year to year. I love that they are still using the same topiaries just moving them around. It's such a fantastic time to visit Epcot!
ReplyDeleteWhat great keepsakes and such a fun way to see how the festival has changed over the years! It is definitely one of my favorite times to visit Epcot!
