Back in 2015, Funko teamed up with Lucasfilm to bring the world Star Wars Smuggler's Bounty, and I jumped right on that train.

A couple of months ago I started getting emails from Funko about a new collectible subscription box. This time they were teaming up with Disney!

Disney Treasures offers a unique themed box every other month filled with 100% exclusive Disney Classic & Disney Theme Park collectibles created by Funko especially for the Disney fan, with each containing goodies such as Pop! Vinyl and other figures, pins, accessories and more (hoping tee shirts, as they asked my shirt size when I signed up).

There are 3 types of plans. Traveler is pay as you go, and $30 a month. Adventurer is the 6 month plan, and the boxes are $29. I went with the Explorer, 12 month program for $28 a box. This plan offers an anniversary gift at the end of my year.

I got my first delivery a few weeks ago, just before we went on our most recent trip to Walt Disney World, and I didn't open it up until we got back. 

The box is designed like a treasure chest.

More Funko Disney/Pixar Mystery Mini Figures!

For my birthday, my wife picked me up a few Funko Disney/Pixar Mystery Mini Figures.  
I loved the ones I got, and went on a search on eBay for more. Some of the more rare figures go for appropriately higher prices, but I managed to get a couple at a more reasonable cost. I've included the ratio chart at the bottom for reference.
 
The first figure I got was this Winnie the Pooh.
I love his facial expression. His distribution in the set is 1/18. 

I got him for $5.59, including shipping.

I got the next three from the same seller.
This is the only Tinker Bell I like from the series, as I feel her eyes are too large in the other 2 figures. 

Not that her head isn't too big! It is also the rarest Tink, at 1 in 144. But I got her for an extremely reasonable $3.25.

Next, we have Mickey Mouse. He's 1 in 18, and I got him for $2.25!

Last, but not least, we have Stitch.
This is the rarest Stitch figure, 1 in 72, and his price-tag reflected this, $8.09.

I really am surprised at how reasonably priced these are in comparison to Vinylmation. I think they are much more expressive, if not nearly as plentiful.

Funko Disney/Pixar Mystery Mini Figures

I'd read about these Funko Disney/Pixar Mystery Mini Figures several months ago on a Vinylmation site.
The article asked if it was possible that these new figures could overtake Vinylmation in popularity.
That obviously hasn't happened, but I actually think they are pretty terrific!
They come in a blind box like Vinyl, and inside they are in a black plastic bag.

 

The character range isn't as wide as Vinylmation, certainly, but manages to include a few of our absolute favorite characters, Mickey Mouse, Stitch, Tinker Bell and Winnie the Pooh. They are about a half inch shorter on average than a 3" Vinylmation.

 

What's very interesting to me, is the rarity of some of these. Some are very rare indeed! 1 in a 144 rare for a Pooh, Tink, or Sulley! Why the top left Mickey is 2 in 24 and not 1 in 12 is a mystery.

After reading the article, I went on a search for these at the local Barnes and Noble, as well as their online shop, and came up empty handed. I found them on Amazon and eBay, but decided to limit myself to finding them at the store. I never did.
But Barbie didn't forget, and bought me some for my birthday! Since they were gifts, I have no idea how much they cost, but she says they were at a reasonable price.
Let's see what I got!
The first package I opened contained a Mike Wazowski. 1/24. Not bad. The very next box I opened contained...the exact same figure!

Next, a Mickey!  1/18.

I love the tail!

 

Next up was another Mike, 1/18, followed by a Sulley, 1/48.
They make a great pair!

Last, but certainly not least, my wife's favorite, Stitch! 1/18.

Well, I didn't get any super rare figures, but I love what I got! This of course has given me Mini Madness, so I'll be searching eBay for more. I'll share what I find here in the future.

Disney Funko POP! WALL-E

Like Vinylmation, I didn't get the Funko Pop! Disney figures at first.
Unlike Vinylmation, however, I'm still not completely on board with them.
They are somewhat cute, but to take a quote from one of my favorite movies, Jaws,  as Quint described a sharks eyes, these figures seem to have "Lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes."
But I don't feel that applies to a couple of the figures. Like WALL-E from Series 4.

If I find EVE, I will have to pick her up.

I feel, unlike most of the other figures from this line, that the eyes are a perfect fit.

WALL-E is one of my all time favorite movies, and I need more collectibles!

WALL-E has only been out of his package a few minutes, and he's already heading off to work. Industrious little fellow.
