Ready, Set, Snow! Disney Hallmark Ornaments Set

By Nick

Yesterday I shared the first 2 ornaments released in the "Ready! Set! Snow!" ornament set, which featured Mickey Mouse and Pluto.

This Donald Duck Hallmark ornament, entitled "Cool Duck Donald", was released on September 8th, 2012.

From the box:

Cool Duck Donald
Ready! Set! Snow!

Donald thought that sledding would be sweet, and he's in luck-gliding fast across the snow, he looks like one cool duck!

This ornament can be connected to others in the "Ready! Set! Snow!" collection. Collect them all to create a delightful holiday display!

"Snow Stylin' Goofy", was released on October 6th, 2012, is part of a set of 5 ornaments, featuring the Fab Five, titled "Ready! Set! Snow!".

Goofy's got some crazy moves
as he rides on the sled.
Or maybe he's just making sure
his hat stays on his head!
The Minnie Mouse Hallmark ornament, titled "Merry Mittens Minnie", was released on November 2nd, 2012, and is the final piece in the set.

From the box:

Merry Mittens Minnie

Minnie's always ready for a sled ride in the snow, she warms her hands with cozy mittens-red to match her bow!

And here is the whole set together!

Mickey and Pluto Downhill Dashing Hallmark Ornaments

By Nick

These 2 Disney ornaments were released by Hallmark in 2012

They are part of a set of ornaments featuring the Fab Five, titled "Ready! Set! Snow!",  that were released from their premiere weekend in July, through November 2nd.

First up we have Downhill-Dashin' Mickey. I am not exactly sure what happened to the box, but it got crushed somehow!

This ornament has a notch to connect other ornaments in the set.

From the box:

Downhill-Dashin' Mickey
Ready! Set! Snow!

Mickey loves to race the sled through snow and ice and slush. And when he wants more speed, he simply hollers, "Pluto, mush!"

This ornament can be connected to others in the "Ready! Set! Snow!" collection. Collect them all to create a delightful holiday display!

Next up, we have Sled-Pullin' Pluto.

A string, er, rope is attached, for Mickey to grab, while Pluto does the heavy lifting!

From the box:

Sled-Pullin' Pluto
Ready! Set! Snow!

Sledding is always fun to do with Pluto for a guide-when Mickey and the gang climb on, he'll take them for a ride!

Tomorrow, we'll take a look at the rest of the set.

My 2014 Hallmark Disney Ornament Selections

By Nick

Back in July I posted a few of the Disney ornaments Hallmark released during their Premier Weekend. There have been a couple of ornament premiers since, so I thought I would share all those I've purchased this year.

We'll start with the main Mouse. I picked up 3 ornaments featuring Mickey, as well as Minnie and Pluto.

I don't have much from the Jungle Book, and I'm a fan of Baloo and the man who gave him his voice, Phil Harris, so an ornament that plays "The Bare Necessities" was for me.

If you have followed this blog for awhile, you'll know I'm also a big fan of the film "The Rocketeer," so this was another must have.

Finally, these last 2 ornaments of Olaf and Elsa from Frozen were released in the last couple of months, and immediately sold out at my local Hallmark. In fact, Elsa was a pre-order, and never made it to the shelves!

Did you buy any Disney Hallmark ornaments this year?

Disney Christmas Decorating: 2014 Edition

By Nick

Each year, I try to switch up our Christmas decorating. We have reached the point where it is impossible, space wise, to put out every ornament and random decoration we have. I have, however, made an effort to put out all of our ever expanding Disney ornament collection.

In the past I have hung them on a 7 foot tree that I put on a rotating base. I switched it up this year by using a garland, 2 smaller 3 foot trees, as well as a small wall hanging tree in one of our bathrooms. Yes, a tree in the bathroom.

The garland has Disney ball ornaments, primarily from the Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line, as well as ornaments from the Disney Store and a few random gifts and acquisitions. I decided to go with some old school large bulbs, where usually I use small white lights.

The 2 trees are mostly Hallmark ornaments, with a few Walt Disney Classic Collection and a few miscellaneous pieces.

I put our Grolier ornaments in the bathroom, keeping them together as they are stylistically similar. The Robin Hood and Maid Marian are early Christmas gifts this year from Barbie.
