Disney Pixar Poseable Toys at Target

By Nick

A couple of weeks ago I spotted these Disney Paxar toys at the local Target.

They are not cheap, but as my favorite Pixar movie is WALL-E, I had to get him and EVE.

They are very nicely detailed, but I have to say, EVE is very unwieldy and hard to balance just right on her base, and the weaponized arm does not change out easily.

And the bulb is tricky to balance just right as well!

The eye changing feature is really cool though, and no batteries required, simply push down on the top of the head.

WALL-E is much more stable, and has a neat trash compact feature making this much more kid friendly in my opinion.

Skeleton Crew, Pirates of the Caribbean Figures

By Nick

In my last post I shared a few Disney Parks Pirates of the Caribbean Action Figures. I have one more to share from that line, and some more skeletal pirates in Vinylmation form.

To me, one of the most memorable portions of Pirates of the Caribbean, the Walt Disney World version, (yes, there is a difference between the WDW and Disneyland versions) is the Helmsman.

The Helsman’s accessories include an anchor, a cutlass, a lantern and a knife.
I really love the detailing on these figures.

He stands 7 inches, or 17.78 centimeters, tall.

Vinylmation Parks #5 Series also has a Pirates Helmsman.

I don’t really think it resembles the figure above, very much. Or at all.

By Maria Clapsis.

The ever popular Helmsman makes a return appearance once again in the Pirates of the Caribbean Vinylmation Series, this time with some mates.

Left to right, we have the Skeleton Helmsman, the Skeleton Captain, and the Blue Bandana Skeleton.

This series is by Casey Jones.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your look at the pirates, me mateys, please come back aboard soon!

Pirates of the Caribbean Action Figures

By Nick

I discovered these Pirates of the Caribbean Action Figures a few years ago on eBay. I can’t recall seeing them in the parks. They are from the beloved attraction, and not from the beloved hit movie series.
I’ve bought a few through the years, and would like to share some today.

This first one, I left in the package, because, well, it’s some cool packaging!

The Treasure Keeper comes with a plethora of accessories, as do all the figures from this line.

Relive all the high seas fun!

The original price for these figures was $10.

Next up, we have the Scalawag, and his little piggy buddies.

His accessories are couple of bottles, a cup, a sword and a pistol.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Readhead. As in, “We wants the Redhead!”

I have the Walt Disney Classics Collection figure of the Redhead, as well as the Auctioneer, and I’ve done a post on them, which can be found here.

Not only does the Redhead have a purse and a rose, she is also packing heat! She has a rifle and a pistol. I’m a little surprised the pirates didn’t disarm her when they took her captive!

I have one more action figure from the collection, and will share that in my next post, with some other members of his skeletal crew, so please stop back.

Working Wall-E

By Nick

I got this action figure of Wall-E at the Disney Store.

Included was a compacted hunk of trash.
Wall-E is, after all, a Waste Allocation Load Lifter – Earth Class.

..

He stands about 4 inches high, with his neck extended.

Instead of moving along on his treads, this little guy rolls along on wheels.

At the end of a hard days work, Wall-E likes to relax, and enjoy the weather..

If it’s a nice day, get on outside and enjoy it, like our little friend here.
Unless, you’d like to stay inside and read more Disney Musings posts instead, of course.

Wall-E and Eve Figures

By Nick

These Wall-E and EVE figures may be small, measuring around 2″, but what they lack in size, they make up for in personality.

With almost no dialogue, the characters Wall-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter – Earth Class) and EVE (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) convey more emotion than some actors and actresses.

Here is EVE showing her lighting skills. Clearly, because of the greenery, this is after the revegetation of Earth has begun.

.

Here Wall-E is dancing while listening to show tunes. If you are wondering what the little illustration is on his lunchbox, that is his cockroach friend, Hal. Now, I have a total phobia of cockroaches, but not this one, so that proves how much I love this movie.

.

Made by Thinkway Toys for Disney Pixar.

.

As I’ve previously mentioned, Wall-E is one of my favorite movies. Hmm, maybe Hal is a water beetle, now that I think of it! Even better!

Flea Market Find: Mickey Mouse as Indiana Jones

I picked this Mickey Mouse as Indiana Jones up at the flea market a few months ago for $5.

What's Mickey looking for? This gold idol of himself, of course. Pssst, Mickey, it's right behind you!

I had no idea that this was actually part of a set, until I saw this in the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost in Disneyland.

Goofy as Indiana Mickey's right hand man, Sallah.

This set sells for $19.95, so I guess I got a good deal on Mickey, but Goofy and the Ark are pretty cool too!

Mickey and me will be on the lookout for Goofy at the flea market. Raiders of the Lost Goofy.
