Mickey Mouse: Plane Crazy Clock

This clock was just uncovered in my attic, portraying Mickey and Minnie from their true first cartoon, Plane Crazy.

There is an alarm, which is turned on and off by pushing the horseshoe. It’s pretty primitive, but still works fine, with a new battery of course.



I believe this clock came from the Disney Channel, but am not 100% sure.
Back in the early 90′s, when I first got the Disney Channel, it was a pay channel. If I recall correctly, it was $10 a month, and worth every penny. It actually played Disney movies, and old cartoons, as well as shows such as “The Swamp Fox”, “The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh”, and Zorro.
Every month I got a channel listing guide, with articles, and a little catalog section, and I still have them somewhere waiting to be rediscovered.

When I do find them, I’ll share them here.

Mickey Mouse Ceramic Clock

I believe I bought this Mickey Mouse clock at The Disney Store while I was a Cast Member there in the early 90s, but I'm not 100% sure. I have no idea how much it cost.

He stands on a black composite base of some sort, could be wood.

The clock is easily removable to change the single AA battery if need be.

There are no marking indicating where it's from, except a China sticker on the bottom, and copyright Disney on his yellow shoe.

If anyone has any info on this clock, that would be awesome. Take your time.

Mickey Mouse Brave Little Tailor Clock

Brave Little Tailor Tuesday!

On the last couple Tuesdays I discussed 2 items I bought way back in 1996 from the Official Disneyana Convention, a mug and a hat. Today I'd like to share a resin clock I purchased on eBay, also from the convention.

Mickey as the Brave Little Tailor measures 5 1/4 inches high from the bottom of the base to the tip of his feather.

The clock battery has expired, and needs to be replaced.

Like the mug, this clock is limited to 2000 pieces.

I also have an ornament from the convention, which I originally purchased in 1996, which I will share in a future post.
