Epcot's The Seas with Nemo and Friends Ride

Located in Epcot's Future World is The Seas with Nemo & Friends, a pavilion housing a very large saltwater aquarium and it's viewing area, Sea Base, the interactive show Turtle Talk with Crush, The Coral Reef Restaurant, and the dark ride for which the pavilion is named after.

The queue area takes you from the beach to under the sea, where you board a clamobile.

Why are you going into this Big Blue World?
Would you believe that Nemo has gone missing again?
They really need to put a bell on that kid.
Actually, this time, Nemo is just having a bit of fun, but Marlin and Dory don't know that!

You'll go exploring with Mr. Ray and his school.

Swim amongst ultraviolet Jellyfish.

Have an encounter with Bruce the shark in the hull of a sunken ship.

Catch a ride on the East Australian Current with that righteous sea turtle Crush and Squirt, his little dude!

Whew!  This is a very cute ride, with some neat effects, especially the EAC, and the animation being projected over the actual aquarium, and is fun for all ages, despite some of the more harrowing moments!

Disney Pixar Finding Nemo Figures

I found these 9 Finding Nemo PVC figures on eBay for $9.99, including shipping.
I'm not at all sure where they come from, but they came up when I did a search for "Disney Gashapon."
They each measure between 2 and 3 inches.

Let's start with Nemo, the little Clown Fish who gets lost in movies and theme park attractions all over the world!

Nemo's friend, Pearl, a Flapjack Octopus.

Nemo's overprotective father, Marlin.

Marlin's forgetful friend, Dory.

What's that around her neck?

The scuba mask that leads Dory and Marlin to Nemo's location!

On their journey to find Nemo, they encounter a group of sharks, like the Great White, Bruce.

They also meet a sea turtle named Crush, and his son Squirt. No Crush is included with the set (!) but we do have Squirt.

Nemo is put in an aquarium, where he meets Angelfish Gill...

... Blowfish Bloat...

...and Yellow Tang, Bubbles.

I planned my last trip so I would be there for the last couple of days of the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. I went into the Festival Welcome Center to check out the shop and see what might be on display.

At the Ghirardelli space set up there I was very pleased to find the following chocolate sculptures, they are behind glass and an oddly lit area so my photos don't do this artwork justice. (And if there is a next time, I will remember to turn the darn flash off!)

Fish are chocolate! Finding Nemo

There was a line-up at the Ghirardelli counter of people waiting to get a cup of drinking chocolate. Since I have had drinking chocolate before I skipped the line-up.

Later that afternoon I was at the Ireland booth getting a flourless chocolate lava cake. I had on my birthday button and was chatting up the CM, I asked for a bit of extra Bailey's ganache on top of my cake because it was my birthday. Bless his heart, this is what I got:

Two lava cakes and a veritable lake of ganache. Now that is real chocolate art!! Yes, I did lick the plate.
