The After Christmas Mess

Here it is after Christmas. The mess that needs to get lovingly packed back into original boxes, jig-saw puzzled safely into multiple large tubs and stored in the basement and attic. As much of a chore as it is, we both enjoy looking over the ornaments again and talking about where we found them. (There are still more on the tree, it's a multi-day affair.)

The Disney Tree

I know all you Disney fans out there have a Christmas tree dedicated to Disney ornaments, right? I mean, it starts off so innocently, one, two, three ornaments, four, fourteen, thirty-four; and then all of a sudden you're looking for a tree specifically to highlight your Disney ornaments! Don't forget the rotating base, because if you are anything like my husband, you need to have access to the whole tree, and you need to see all the ornaments, and that's the only efficient way to do that!

Dear Tink, This Post is for You!

Well Tink, I have succumbed to "Dear" pressure. Last weekend I picked up framed Disney prints and they now reside in the living room, where I originally kept an antique mirror and equally old framed print. For all those who are confused, please refer to the post entitled "Barely Reluctant Today," and you will see the living room as it used to be! I will get into the whole Disney tree thing in a later post. Including the fact that it is already up and fully decorated!

This morning, my husband, sitting on the couch declared, "We should take this artwork down and put up some more Disney artwork." Just like that. The lovely antique prints and mirror I've had for years, relegated to the attic, so the husband could have more room for Disney.

No. Please, Honey!

Not this time. Let there remain a little bit of my influence over the decorating of the house.
