Mickey and Minnie Mouse Snow Globe

This cute little snow globe, measuring 5" tall, was sent to me when we first joined  the Disney Vacation Club by our DVC guide.



"Loving Moments...Lasting Memories". We certainly have had those on our Disney trips!





The snow globe plays "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah". I find it very interesting that there is so much information about the song listed on the label.

Disney 4th of July Snow Globe

A few weeks ago, my wife and I found this snow globe at the Columbus Flea Market.

It was love at first sight.

Then I saw the price, and couldn't get the money out of my wallet fast enough. This beautiful patriotic piece, featuring 3 favorite Disney characters, and a quote from Walt Disney to top it all off was $8!
The quote from Walt Disney, "...tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life..." is from 1941.

It plays Yankee Doodle Dandy.

Disney Wedding Snow Globe

 

14 years ago today, my wife and I got married.
A friend got us this snow globe as a wedding gift.

"Nick and Barbie: May 29, 1999"

The usual suspects are all in attendance. Mickey and Minnie are the bride and groom.

Donald is the coachman, while Huey, Dewey and Louie are up to something, Pluto is following along. Where's Goofy?
Tying cans to the coach, of course!

Once wound up, it plays the "Wedding March".

Wait a minute, where's Daisy? No really?!
We'd invite Daisy to our wedding!

Here's to 50 plus more years!
