Minnie and Fifi Hallmark Ornament

This ornament of Minnie Mouse and her fuzzy friend Fifi, titled Tangled Up in Fun, was released in 2012.

Who is Fifi? I assumed she was a Dachshund, but apparently she’s a Pekinese. Her first appearance goes all the way back to the 1933 short “Puppy Love”!

Fifi went on to star in 6 more short cartoons between 1934 and 1947.

The puppy sees the leash and begins to jump and bark!

With Fifi’s leash all tangled up in Minnie’s legs that way-wonder if they’ll even make it out the door today.

Magician Mickey Mouse Hallmark Ornament

This Magician Mickey ornament, released in 2012 and entitled, appropriately enough, Magician Mickey is the first of the Mickey’s Movie Mousterpieces series.

This classic animated short is from 1937, and can be found on the “Walt Disney Treasures-Mickey Mouse in Living Color” DVD set, as well as on YouTube.

Each of the ornaments in this new series will feature Mickey Mouse in a scene from a classic animated film.

Grumpy Before Coffee

Grumpy Monday

Truer words have never been spoken, written, or typed.
I need coffee in the morning, and am Grumpy until I get it.
And so is Grumpy.

I collect Hallmark ornaments, especially favorite Disney characters, such as Grumpy, so I'm not even sure how I missed this ornament when it was initially released in 2007.

Maybe I hadn't had my coffee yet?

I was very happy to get him off of eBay recently.

Ironically, I am a morning person, but I agree with the sentiment that someone should brew me up some coffee so it's ready upon waking.

Now, please excuse us, Grumpy and I need a cup of coffee.

Goofy with Chip 'n' Dale Hallmark Ornament

This ornament of Goofy with Chip ‘n’ Dale at a tree farm was a “secret reveal” from Hallmark in 2012, meaning it wasn’t in any media advertising in that years Keepsake Ornament line. 

Titled “Half-Off Hijinks”.

Chip ‘n’ Dale would like a tree-

the season’s straight ahead!

But this makes Goofy wonder

if his sign has been misread:

he said that he would sell a tree

for only half his normal fee,

but rather inexplicably,

they cut off half instead!

I wonder what would happen if I tried that at our local tree farm…naw, better not!

Hallmark's Disney Cinderella's Castle Ornament

I picked this Disney Cinderella's Castle ornament up during Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Premiere Weekend back in July.

This is not the Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom, but the one from the movie Cinderella.

In it's static form, it isn't a very dynamic ornament, I must confess.

 

But press the button and it comes alive with a firework spectacular and the song "When You Wish Upon a Star".

 

 We hope all of your wishes come true on this Christmas Eve, and that you have a wonderful, magical, and Merry Christmas!

Disney "Sewing For Cinderelly" Limited Quantity Hallmark Ornament

I bought this "Limited Quantity" ornament titled "Sewing For Cinderelly" during the 2013 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Premiere Weekend back in July.

Gus and Jaq are maybe my favorite part of Cinderella.

Jaq.

I see more than a bit of myself in Gus Gus!

They have helped create a masterpiece for Cinderella.

Disney's Prep and Landing Hallmark Ornaments

Back in 2009, when I first heard of the new Walt Disney Animation Studios computer animated special, Prep and Landing, and saw the images of the 2 elves, I assumed that their names were Prep and Landing.
I, of course, was wrong. Prep and Landing is the name of the elf department in charge of getting homes ready for Santa. The elves are named Lanny and Wayne.
This special is terrific. Fast paced, well written, well animated, sweet, funny, and filled with so much eye candy, it is tremendously re-watchable. An instant classic.

The "Prep and Landing" DVD was released in 2011, and includes a short sequel, "Prep and Landing: Operation: Secret Santa", which aired in 2010, which manages to cram all the excitement and humor of the special into a few minutes.

Another special "Prep and Landing: Naughty vs. Nice" aired in 2011. While entertaining, it doesn't hold up compared to the original and short.

The first ornament released by Hallmark came out in 2010, featuring Lanny (right) and Wayne with a couple of tools of their trade.




This next ornament is from 2011. Lanny and Wayne have their light wands ready to help Santa land on a rooftop.
